Arenal Vida Campesina is a project that seeks to preserve the traditional Costa Rican identity while maintaining the best relationship between man and the environment and promoting the practical philosophies that support and sustain this relationship.

Arenal Vida Campesina was born with the idea of showing tourists, national and international, the culture and lifestyle of the rural Costa Rican. In turn we preserve the customs and traditions that we inherit from our ancestors that today are in danger of disappearing. Arenal Vida Campesina has as mission to preserve the culture and in turn to promote sustainable development together with the community, in harmony with nature.

We offer educational tours where our visitors interact while they learn responsible production in harmony with the environment, with the goal of forming a change of mentality toward integral organic production with responsible and environmentally friendly practicing. We grow the main crops that have made strong the economy of Costa Rica, we include: sugar cane, coffee, corn, yucca, cocoa, bananas and platanos, among others; we also cultivate non traditional crops such as Chinese potato and yam, among others.

We are committed to the environment, assuming the challenge of minimizing the impact of greenhouse gases. We plant native trees in danger of extinction to capture CO2 to help mitigate the effects of global warming.
